Hiking trail near Golden, with access at 607 Canyon Point Circle.

Nightbird Gulch Trail is located in Mount Galbraith Park and connects with Cedar Gulch Trail and Mount Galbraith Loop.

Peaceful hike today at Mount Galbraith Park via Nightbird Gulch Trail

Mount Galbraith Park via Nightbird Gulch Trail today. Overcast during much of the hike, started clearing up toward the end.

Wild American plum (Prunus americana) plants in blossom in Nightbird Gulch, amongst other vegetation such as bare mountain mahogany shrubs and Rocky Mountain juniper trees.

Nightbird Gulch Trail winding its way down left side of the frame, alongside of Nightbird Gulch which is on the right side. The dirt trail extends through areas of dry grass and other vegetation, such as Creeping Grape Holly (Mahonia repens) in the lower left corner and bare Mountain Mahogany (Cercocarpus montanus) shrubs. Flowering plum bushes and a few conifers (Rocky Mountain juniper and Ponderosa pine) are scattered along the right side of the gulch. The Castle Rock flat top peak of South Table Mountain and the mesa of Green Mountain are faintly visible in the distance. Clearing blue sky above with a few white and gray clouds.

Hike today at Mount Galbraith Park via Nightbird Gulch Trail. Warm at the lower elevations, cool and breezy higher up.

Dirt hiking trail ascending along Nightbird Gulch, landscape vegetation includes dry grass, bare shrubs (e.g. mountain mahogany), prickly pear cactus, ponderosa pine, and rocky mountain juniper. Blue sky above with a white cloud. Golden, Colorado.

Pasqueflower (Pulsatilla patens aka Prairie Crocus) in bloom, the flower includes pale purple petals and a yellow center.

Warm weather today for hiking Mount Galbraith Park, took the Nightbird Gulch Trail route. Supposed to snow tomorrow!

Pleasant hike this evening at Mount Galbraith Park, took Nightbird Gulch Trail on way to the summit.
